_what
website for the ground-breaking political documentary, swing state.
_how
director & producers jason fisher, john intrater & h. spencer young approached us in need of a promotional website for their new documentary 'swing state'. we were thrilled to be apart of such an inspiring politically driven project & one that truly captures the importance of ohio's 2006 governor race & the impact it would have on the upcoming presidential election. furthermore we were given carte blanche to design the site in a fashion we felt best suited the film. we hope you enjoy it.
_features
  • flash driven site navigation
  • custom weather feed that triggers atmospheric background animations

_what
promo video for the a-alikes documentary, the ballot or the bullet
_how
director paul biedrzycki came to us with a series of video clips he wanted to use as a music video element in his new politically charged documentary about underground rap groupd, a-alikes. knowing we have a particular appetite for destroying things, he told us he wanted this section of the film to feel like it was 'being watched by a kid with a broken tv with rabbit ear antennae in bedford stuyvesant'. having lived in this neighbourhood of brooklyn not long ago, we were familiar with the vibe he wanted. we set about editing together the fragments he had, inserting various graphical elements to amp up the aesthetic and then obliterating the footage as best we could.
