spyline have included deadsy.tv in their 'most impressive and most powerful design links of 2006'. they had the following to say about the style of site it is :

"flash 8 was truely a big step forward in order to get large videos well-compressed online. i never thought the footage end up as being just impressive full-screen backgrounds. but this is indeed a new trend of 2006. these sites are hardware-hungry and you may think they just push it too far - but hey - too far is pretty relative. and some just try to show new possibilites and forms of visual expression."

their review of the site itself read as follows :

"deadsy - put a foot through your tv screen - das wohl beste testbild derzeit online präsentiert die new wave band deadsy und bestätigt den eigenen anspruch ein 'art project' zu sein."

which we believe roughly translates to :

"deadsy - put a foot through your tv screen - the probably best test pattern on-line presented those new wave bound at present deadsy and acknowledges the own requirement to ' type ' to be project."

"The impact is enormous. We would love to have made such a site."

michael eades over at yewknee had this to say about our new website and showreel :

"The portfolio of version industries is an onslaught of layered div's reminiscent of BEAST magazine. In all honesty it's a bit hard to read at times but I gotta give credit to them for pulling off such a visually intense layout. For something a bit more tame but just as telling as to their style, check their showreel."

michael eades over at yewknee had this to say about deadsy.tv :

"deadsy.tv vs. neave.tv - a site for a somewhat ridiculous band (and a personal guilty pleasure) and another site that acts as an experimental online television station. strangely, both use very similar tactics for the introductions to their site... a very standard television homage. but which came first? i know the answer."

21.08.06

datasky over at digitalica just posted this about deadsy.tv :

"`deadsy.tv trzymajcie się krzesełek - zaiście dobre od `versionindustries.com"

which we believe is polish and roughly translates to :

"deadsy.tv made me grip my chair - good site from (v)"

17.08.06

worthy review by michael over at ventilate.ca :

"deadsy.tv ... something different for a flash band site ... fresh outtake by version industries."

mycharlesstreet.com was mentioned on the new york city real estate blog curbed.com in a news item about the houses's appearance on the market. matt lobron had the following to say :

"charles street: now less swanky
wednesday, june 07, 2006

the townhouse at 33 charles street, owned by the former mr. and mrs. chad lowe (aka hillary swank and her husband) is for sale. with four floors, six fireplaces, two full baths, two half baths and some amazing decorating, it can be yours for a cool $8.25 million. presumably, the oscar is not included, but everything is negotiable these days, so who knows.

even if you're looking for something a little bigger, it's still worth checking out the seriously kick-ass website, which we hereby anoint as the gold standard by which all future websites will be judged."

thomasnewbolt.com was added to the illustration directory of the netdiver galleries, which is a digital culture magazine and international design portal. a small review was posted on the what's new page :

"modern artist thomas newbolt site begs you to explore. based on the 'typewriter' effect, the navigation system - is simple and non-obstrusive. some of his paintings are breathtaking and the soundtrack just the right classic choice."
